Grand Palace

Na minha opinião, se há um lugar que você não pode perder na sua viagem a Bangkok é o Grand Palace!

O palácio foi construído em 1782 e por 150 anos foi residência do Rei Tailandês, da Corte Real e sede administrativa do governo e é sem dúvida o mais famoso ponto turístico da cidade.

Dentro do palácio encontra-se o famoso Buda de Esmeralda. As vestes no Buda são trocadas com as estações pelo rei da Tailândia, e forma um ritual importante no calendário budista.

O Grand Palace foi de longe o lugar mais bonito que eu visitei na Tailândia e é um dos lugares mais bonitos que eu já vi na minha vida.

O palácio abre todos os dias das 08:30 até 15:30, você pode comprar os bilhetes dentro do palácio por 500baht. Por favor, não se deixe enganar pelos motoristas de tuk tuk que vão dizer que o Palácio está fechado ou que você pode obter bilhetes mais baratos se comprar com eles...

Eu acredito que a melhor maneira de chegar ao Grand Palace é ir de Skytrem até Saphan Taksim e de lá pegar o barco (com a bandeira laranja indo para a direita) até o Grand Palace. São 5 paradas se não me engano custa de 15 a 40 baht, dependendo do barco.

In my opinion if there is a place you cannot miss on your trip to Bangkok is the Grand Palace!

The Palace was built in 1782 and for 150 years it was the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government and is undoubtedly the city's most famous landmark.

Inside the Palace you will find the famous Emerald Buddha. The robes on the Buddha are changed with the seasons by the King of Thailand, and forms an important ritual in the Buddhist calendar.

The Grand Palace was by far the most beautiful place I have seen in Thailand and is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life.

The Palace opens everyday from 8.30 am till 3.30pm, you can buy the tickets inside the Palace for 500baht. Please make sure you don't get fooled by the tuk tuk drivers who will tell you that the Palace is closed or that you can get cheaper tickets if buy with them.

I believe that the best way to get to the Grand Palace is to go by Skytrem till Saphan Taksim and from there take the boat (with the orange flag going towards the right) to the Grand Palace. It's 5 stops if I'm not mistaken and cost from 15 to 40 baht depending on the boat.
